Characteristics
The so called Aegean organic cotton is known for it's high quality, long fiber length and it's high spinnability. The raw cotton is famous for its beautiful colour and softness. Turkey is the second largest producer of organic cotton and has a big manufacturing industry. In Turkey itself this offers proximity of the raw material to textile processing, thus reducing transportation and resulting in a lower carbon footprint. This organic cotton is guaranteed to be GMO-free, because the Turkish Biosafety Law forbids GMO in Turkey.
